SOLD

We sold our house about a week ago and I'm having really mixed emotions. On one hand I'm happy our house has sold (without a realtor, I might add) before the spring rush when everyone's house is on the market and before the market goes down any more on the seller side. Interest rates are low again which is a huge plus in purchasing a new house as well. I'm excited to get into something bigger too.

At the same time I'm so sad to leave our home! This is the first house Trev and I have lived in together and we've put so much work into it that it's hard to say goodbye. What's even harder is saying goodbye to such an amazing neighborhood and ward. We have lived in this ward for our entire marriage (which is approaching 5 years) and have made such good friends. We love all of our neighbors and will hate to leave. At the same time, who likes moving? The thought of boxing up all our crap and moving it, unpacking it, and putting it away doesn't sound like too much fun either.

As of May 30th we're homeless so we're anxiously looking for a new home. We're looking mostly in the Layton/Kaysville/Syracuse area so if any of you know any homes for sale, let us know. House hunting is a pain, I'm sick of it already. It's very time consuming and difficult especially when you have 2 little ones. I'm spending most of my free time looking at homes on-line which is why I have been and probably will be a bad blogger for awhile. I just hope we can find something we love as much as this.

Wish us luck!

Easter

Easter came WAY too fast this year but we had a ton of fun! Tara took Jace down to Tooele on Friday night so he could take part in their annual neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt (I had to work). He had an absolute blast and at WAY too much "nandy"! Here he is with Kylee enjoying the festivities.

I stole all of these pictures from my brother-in-laws blog because my camera & computer are being mental, anyway, thanks Marc for taking such cute pictures of my kiddos! This one is of Jace, Marc made the blue stand out. Awesome, huh?
On Easter Trev, Brooklyn, and I joined the rest of the fam in Tooele for Easter dinner. We had so much fun visiting with everyone, and it turned out being a nice day so we were able to spend a lot of time out doors. Jace got some fun bubbles from the Easter Bunny (aka Tara) and a new ball, magna doodle, and other fun stuff. Trev and Rylan tried to fly a kite too.

Here are my cute babies! Jace actually wanted to hold Brooklyn, although neither wanted to look at the camera.

Jace would not cooperate for a family picture, but Brooklyn did. Again, Marc has an awesome camera and was able to bring out the red in the picture. Kind of makes Trev look like he has lipstick though! Ha ha!

Hope you all had a nice Easter and were able to celebrate with your families and friends! We're so grateful for Easter, and for our Savior.

Best Seat in Town

The other day we were all sitting around eating some popcorn and watching TV. Well, Jace wanted in on the fun, so he came and grabbed a handful of popcorn and plopped himself down on Brooklyn's Bumbo. I'm surprised he actually fit, but he seemed to be quite comfortable.

The only problem was geetting out of the seat!

It surprises me how much Jace is turning into a big boy! He's so independent and wants to do everything by himself. This is hard for me to accept, not only because he's my baby...but because he usually makes an awful big mess! I just love this boy...

What the...???

Today was a nice day. I decided to take the kids on a walk, and Trev decided to stay and shovel some of the snow that wasn't melting around the yard. When we were coming around the corner by my house, I swear I could hear a snow blower/lawn mower. Now it's been nice lately, but not nice enough to mow your lawn (obviously) and there isn't any snow on anyone's driveway, so where could the sound be coming from?

Here's what I found in my back yard (minus Jace). Trevor decided it was much more effective and a lot less work to use the snow blower instead of shovel.
Jace saw how fun daddy was having and just had to join in! I would have never thought to snow blow the lawn, but I guess it works! I'm definitely ready for the snow to be gone...and although he looked really funny, I'm glad Trevor found a creative way to help the rest of our snow melt...

Fat Cats

On Friday we were all getting a little bit of cabin fever so we took Jace to Fat Cats. He had SUCH a blast! He would have been fine if I didn't spend a single dime on him, he just loved seeing all of the people and the fun arcade machines. We contemplated going bowling, but Jace was more entertained around the arcades. It's nice to have a place to go during the colder weather that's entertaining. It's also nice that he's still to small to want to spend all of my money at the arcade! We're definitely ready for some nice weather though....and for all the snow to melt. Spring can't come fast enough...

Here's Jace testing out his driving skills. He is seriously all boy! He sits up on the seat and automatically starts cruising. If you notice, he was too excited that we had a hard time even getting his coat off!

Here is Jace on the Ferris Wheel. He said "Weeee" the whole time! It was hard to convince him to look at the camera...I probably looked like an idiot making funny faces and saying his name in different voices to get his attention. I guess he finally looked, so it was worth it, right?

Jace walked by the ski ball and fell in love instantly. He LOVES balls! He wanted to take the balls and throw them though...but we showed him how to play. He thought it was easier to just take the ball and drop it in instead of rolling it up the slope. Too bad his arms weren't a little longer and so he could get us some real points!!!

Here's Wes juggling both kids...I'm impressed! We had a fun night!

Tag...I'm it!!!

Well, I've been tagged by my friend Kelly, and this time I get to answer some fun questions about my hubby! It actually has been quite fun, thanks for tagging me!

All about my DARLING Hubby!!

What is his full name? Trevor Wayne Zezula
How long have we been married? 5 years this May (Wow, I can't believe it's really been that long!!
How long did we date? Well, this is kind of a funny question, because Trevor and I really didn't "date" much because of the whole long distance thing. We pretty much just got engaged (scary, I know). But he got off his mission in August and we were engaged in December...so 4 months...does that count?
How old are you? 27
Who eats more? For the most part Trevor does....unless it's something sweet, and then I beat him by a landslide!
Who said I love you first? Trevor. In fact, he flew here from Canada so that he could tell me in person! (How romantic we used to be...:o) )
Who sings better? Well, I was a choir singer through junior high/high school, so I can read music and that, but Trevor has a nice voice as well...
Who is smarter? I used to think that I was...at least at book smarts (is that rude?) but Trevor's really impressing me lately! I think it comes down to the fact that I try harder than he does in school. When it comes to basic knowledge and common sense type of things he wins for sure.
Whose temper is worse? Mine unfortunately. I have the terrible tendency to speak before I think sometimes.
Who does the laundry? Definitely me. I don't think that Trevor has done a load of laundry since we've been married. (And I'm not sure how much laundry he did at home for that matter!)
Who does the dishes? It's pretty even, although Trevor doesn't seem to know how to put his dirty dishes in the dishwasher after he uses them! I guess the truth is is that the dishwasher does most of the dish washing :o).
Who mows the lawn? Trevor, and he takes great pride in it as well. I, embarrassingly enough, don't know how to operate a lawn mower.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me
Who pays the bills? Me. We have most of our stuff on automatic withdrawl, so it's not too tough!
Who cooks dinner? Trev works and goes to school so late that I don't usually make dinner during the week. He's a much better cook than I am, so I'd have to say that he probably cooks more. I'm working on it though!
Who is taller? Trevor
Who drives when together? Trevor all the way. I almost NEVER drive when we're together (which is very nice!).
Who is more stubborn? It depends on the situation...but we can both be pretty stubborn on certain issues.
Who's parents do you see the most? Mine for sure, but that's just because Trev's live so far away!
Who kissed who first? Trev kissed me...
Who proposed? Trevor...and it was so romantic!
Who has more friends? Probably Trevor. He's more outgoing than I am...and he goes to work and school....that also helps. I seem to keep in better touch with my friends though...
Who has more siblings? Trevor has 3 siblings and I have 4.
Who wears the pants? A lot of people think I do, but really I think we're pretty evenly matched.

Well, I guess I'm going to have to tag Shelly Taylor, Jaime Owens, and Jessica Harwood!!!

Jace and Jake

Jace has a little friend named Jake. Jake is 4 months older than Jace but they're pretty much the same size. Jen (Jake's mom) and I have been hanging out since they were babies and it's great because now they are starting to interact more with each other (even if it is trying to steal one another's toy!). It's fun to watch him play with other kids! We love getting together with Jake and Jen. It has certainly made our winter more entertaining!
