Today Trevor & I celebrate our FIFTH wedding anniversary! In some ways I can't believe how fast the time has gone by, but in others it feels like we've been married forever.
So many things have changed since that beautiful May day, but the basics still remain. I love getting to spend everyday with my best friend. We have so much fun together and I can honestly be 100% me when he's around. He can see past my flaws and love me anyway. How did I get so lucky?
Kids have certainly changed things in our relationship but I've come to love those changes. It's fun to watch your spouse grow into parenthood. Trevor is such a great father! I love watching him with the kids, and I know they love him so much.
The past five years have been the best of my life. I'm so happy Trevor asked me to marry him 5 years ago, and that we have two beautiful and healthy children. I honestly couldn't ask for anything more.
Five down, eternity to go....

Loving Bubbles
Well, I did a post all about Brooklyn, so now I need to post some current pictures of my deliciously adorable boy.
Tara and Wes got back from Italy and brought Jace his new favorite toy. It's a fish that blows bubbles and he absolutely LOVES it!
This is the "OOoh" face. He was so excited, even before he discovered that this fish blew bubbles. You pull the trigger and it makes cool noises.
Jace LOVES bubbles. When I go pick him up from nursery he acts like I don't even exist because they usually play with bubbles at the end. (He also has a favorite nursery leader that he thinks is the coolest guy ever. Sometimes he cries when I try to take him away from him. Geeze, he knows just how to make a mom feel really good).
He found out how to work it on his own, and had a really hard time sharing after this discovery. He wants to be so independent with everything. He's really smart and picks up on things really fast.
I love that great big smile. He loves to be outside and we've thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather. He's his happiest when we're outside playing.

Getting Big
So first of all, I apologize for being a terrible blogger as of late. We've been house-hunting like crazy and that has occupied a lot of my time. My computer hasn't been letting me download pictures from my camera either, which kind of puts a damper on things too. I mean, who wants to read a post without pictures?
My little Brooklyn is now 7 months and is starting to get big! She's still pretty small (especially compared to how big Jace was) but is long. For her 6 month appointment she was only 12 1/2 lbs! Jace was that weight at 2 months! She's in the 75th percentile for length though.
She's now starting to sit up with no help. She still tips over now and then but is getting pretty sturdy. It's so much fun to see her from this new angle, and makes her seem so much bigger to me! She rolls over a lot, but is not showing any signs of crawling yet. Not too disappointed though. Once they're mobile, there's no turning back! (LOVE that smile!)
We've started attempting solids but we're a far cry from where we're supposed to be. Brooklyn just doesn't seem to like them, and I don't seem to be too good at being consistent at giving them to her. It's a work in progress, that's for sure. I have a video clip I need to edit & will post on soon.
She's got 2 teeth now too! I can't believe it! I didn't even know she was teething and one night Trev says, "You didn't tell me she got a tooth." I didn't know either! Just shows what a trooper she is!
We've hit another milestone at our house this past week. The past two nights Brooklyn has slept in her crib opposed to her car seat where she has slept for pretty much the past seven months. We feel quite accomplished. I've put off putting her in her crib for WAY too long and finally decided I wanted my bedroom back. So far so good. She doesn't seem to take quite as good of naps, but it's a work in progress.
I just love this little girl, and watching her grow. I can't believe how fast the past seven months have flown by! She seriously is such a beautiful girl both inside and out. She has the most gorgeous eyes....and smile....I guess you could say I'm in love.

Easter

Easter came WAY too fast this year but we had a ton of fun! Tara took Jace down to Tooele on Friday night so he could take part in their annual neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt (I had to work). He had an absolute blast and at WAY too much "nandy"! Here he is with Kylee enjoying the festivities.
I stole all of these pictures from my brother-in-laws blog because my camera & computer are being mental, anyway, thanks Marc for taking such cute pictures of my kiddos! This one is of Jace, Marc made the blue stand out. Awesome, huh?
On Easter Trev, Brooklyn, and I joined the rest of the fam in Tooele for Easter dinner. We had so much fun visiting with everyone, and it turned out being a nice day so we were able to spend a lot of time out doors. Jace got some fun bubbles from the Easter Bunny (aka Tara) and a new ball, magna doodle, and other fun stuff. Trev and Rylan tried to fly a kite too.

Here are my cute babies! Jace actually wanted to hold Brooklyn, although neither wanted to look at the camera.
Jace would not cooperate for a family picture, but Brooklyn did. Again, Marc has an awesome camera and was able to bring out the red in the picture. Kind of makes Trev look like he has lipstick though! Ha ha!
Hope you all had a nice Easter and were able to celebrate with your families and friends! We're so grateful for Easter, and for our Savior.

Best Seat in Town

The only problem was geetting out of the seat!
It surprises me how much Jace is turning into a big boy! He's so independent and wants to do everything by himself. This is hard for me to accept, not only because he's my baby...but because he usually makes an awful big mess! I just love this boy...

What the...???
Today was a nice day. I decided to take the kids on a walk, and Trev decided to stay and shovel some of the snow that wasn't melting around the yard. When we were coming around the corner by my house, I swear I could hear a snow blower/lawn mower. Now it's been nice lately, but not nice enough to mow your lawn (obviously) and there isn't any snow on anyone's driveway, so where could the sound be coming from? Here's what I found in my back yard (minus Jace). Trevor decided it was much more effective and a lot less work to use the snow blower instead of shovel.
Jace saw how fun daddy was having and just had to join in! I would have never thought to snow blow the lawn, but I guess it works! I'm definitely ready for the snow to be gone...and although he looked really funny, I'm glad Trevor found a creative way to help the rest of our snow melt...
